Maggie ~pictured at 12 years of age~  was the only daughter we had  from our first import from England
Sheltex Fizzy Lizzy and is at the same time our first homebred champion.
Maggie herself may not have been the most elegant one of our bitches but she had a good construction
and she has passed this on to many of her children and grandchildren for which we will be forever thankful to her.

In her younger years we worked her with sheep and she just loved that, due to several other commitments
we had to quit working her with sheep much to Maggie's regret.
Maggie was fit as ever up until the last couple of weeks of her life and even when her kidneys started to fail
she still wanted to go places and chase cats, children and whatever.
Than came the day that she looked at us with that look in her eye of 'I have had enough' and
we knew the time had come to say goodbye .......

Thank you Mag for all you have meant to us - born backwards and always been stubborn but with all your peculiarity a
dog never to forget.
Saying goodbye is always hard but with you it was even harder because it came so unexpectedly and fast ............ just
like 'the way you have lived your life.

I give you this one thought to keep
I am with you still, I do not sleep.

I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.

When you waken in mornings hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush of
Quiet birds in circled flight.
 I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone
I am with you still, in each new dawn.
