Yesterday we had our last show for this year: The Amsterdam Winner
show.
The results were more than pleasing,
Ozzy won the open class
dogs with 1st Excellent, his littersister
Megan
won the open bitch class with 1st Excellent and their older sister
Spooky got 1st
Excellent in the champion bitch class.
In the challenge Spooky got the CAC and CACIB and with that also came the
Winner '11 title, het younger sister Megan won reserve CAC/ Reserve
CACIB but because Spooky already is a confirmed Dutch and International
champion these warads will be upgraded and so Megan wins her first (2) CAC's
and her first CACIB :-))
We did not visit many shows this year due to family circumstances but also
because we felt shows were not about the dogs anymore or just about one part
of the dog. This is the reason why we very selectively did choose the shows
were we thought judging would be about the dogs and nothing more than that.
We are very proud of what our dogs have achieved this year, full results can
be found on our page with
showresults
for 2011.
Also news on the page "expected
by our dogs" , the puppies of Ozzy and Howard's daughter Yuba were born
on the 29th of November.

Last weekend the championshipshow of the Dutch Sheltie Club
was organised again. This year we had just entered 2 of our dogs as we have
not been to a lot of shows this year (a little fed up with it since last
year) en there were 2 more dogs bred by us. The results were great again and
full results can be found on our
showresults
page but we would like to make special mention of the young boy Dawnville
He's Got That Bling (Ozzy) who won Best Dog last year but did one better
this year being Best Dog again but this time also Best of Breed / Best in
Show and won the title of Clubwinner 2011!
Ozzy is the 3rd generation (blue merle) clubwinners bred by us:
2002: Kamp.Dawnville Naughty By Nature
(Ch.Faradale Frisbee for Grandgables x Blazecroft Danish Blue)
2006: Kamp.Dawnville All That And More (by
Ch.Grandgables Dressed To Impress)
2011:
Dawnville He's Got That Bling (by Mohnesee Mr Palmer)
Pictures of our puppies will be added soon.

Lots of things happening for our puppies this week. They
have been microchipped by our KC on Monday morning, vaccinated on Monday
evening and todau (Tuesday) had their eye check. All 4 of them are clear of
any eye defects.
We also took
Megan,
Spooky and
Flirt for another check and these 3 were also clear (again).
I have made some pictures of the puppies playing, they
have been added to the
puppy page.

yesterday we had to say goodbye to
Lisa. We knew siince May
that she had a tumor on her heart that could not be removed but she was
doing well and was as happy and playful as she had ever been. We noticed
that slowly it took her longer to catch her breath after running and playing
but last weekend it went very fast all of a sudden and she was short of
breath and did not want to lay down or anything.
A last X-Ray confirmed
our fears that the tumor had grown explosively pushing away her heart and
lungs.
Last May we promised her we would not let her suffer and yesterday
it was time to keep that promise to her and let her go.........
Everybody who knew Lisa knows how difficult that was,
she was always happy and cheerful and even at the vet's she was still
wagging her tail to him. It made it so very hard to make the decision but we
know we did what was best for her......
New
pictures of the puppies
They are
getting more cheeky now and want to explore the world, it doesn't make
photgraphing them any easier ;-) Here are a few of our 'failures'...

And we have many more like this.....

The past weekend we got the sad news that Mayke and Henk
IJland (O'The Little Lodge)
had to say the final goodbye to their Meggie (Dawnville Enjoy My Presence).
Meggie shared their lived for over 15 years and can be found behind many
O;The Little Lodge Shelties but most importantly she was a part of their
family and will be sadly missed.
Meggie has had a
terrific life with Mayke en Henk, thank you so much for loving her the way
you did!
The past weekend the puppies
of Daizie and Todd were also born. 3 'till 4 dagen too early but they are
doing great so far and the first pictures can be found
here.
The International champion title of Spooky has been
confirmed by the FCI. She needed exactly the required 1 year and 1 day
between the qualifying awards, you can not do it any faster :-)

Today we
got sad news again.... Our good friends Bert en Irene had to say farewell to
their lovely sable male Ch. Dawnville Gee I'm Handsome Too. 'Vince' was
almost 14 years of age and couldn't have had a better life than with Bert
and Irene. Next to being a showdog he also was a very fanatic agility dog
untill an accident forced him to retire.
Irene, we know you would have
gone to hell and back for him and we are proud you have got the best out of
him in everything you did with him. Having said this, we know you would have
had appreciated him even if he never excelled in anything as he was one of
those special dogs that touch your heart.
He will be in our memory
forever!

The "Expected"
page has been updated.
23-05-2011
The past month
Spooky (Dawnville Gotta
Love My Looks) gained her Dutch championtitle. At the same time she
fulfilled the requirements for her International championtitle in exactly 1
year and 1 day :-)
The coming shows it is the turn
of our sable "holiday girl" Ch.Scotsdream Hevenly Daize.
Sad news again today as well...... this time we had to say
goodbye to our Charlene
who has not been well for a while but we had not seen this one coming.
Charlene was my heartdog who understood every word I said to her and felt
your sadness.
Everybody that knew her knows how much we miss her.
Charlene is the 3rd Sheltie within a yer we had to say
goodbye to. Unfortunely it never gets any easier to make this difficult
decision.

Today also Tinsel started her season, she will hopefully be mated soon and we are looking forward to having puppies again at the beginning of August. Tinsel is the mother of Spooky, Ozzy en Megan.

Not so much to report, we have made some adjustments to our
expected puppies page
and updated some
showresults.
Crufts
this year was again very succesfull, we had only entered one this time: Dawnville Gotta Love My
Looks (Spooky) who managed to get a respectable 4th place (Reserve) in the
open bitch class. The 3 in front of her were all English champions and
number 1 and 2 were the winners of the CC and reserve CC. Spooky was the
youngest in this class so we are more than pleased with how she did.
We
had some lovely days among friends and it was nice to see everybody again.
The 3 sable
males by Howard at the Feljima's kennel were all CEA clear and really lovely
to look at, pictures of these 3 can be found on the site of
Feljima's.
Also the 5 tricolour pups
by Howard at Fan é Keningsdjip were really nice and all 5 looked
alike. This complete litter was also clear of CEA.
We hope to see some
of these puppies again once they have grown up.
We also received some pictures of the single baby from Flirt
and
Ch.Edglonian Singing The Blues, the colour might be wrong but we just think
she is adorable. Seeing these pictures we are tempted to try the same
combination again and hopefully have something like this in the 'right'
colour......
At the pictures below Tessy (Dawnville Just A Flirt) is 10
months of age:

I haven't changed much on our website lately as there was
not much to report and I just have been too busy with other things.
The
last few days I have made some minor adjustments to this website, our
puppyplans have been
updated. We had Daizie
mated in England and wanted to mate
Tia but although she has
had her season, she has not been accepting any of the males so we let this
one pass and will try again in 6 months time.
There's a tricolour puppy girl available in Germany, she is sired by our
Ch.Scotsdream Still O'ThNite and is a repeat of German Jnr.Ch. It's
Only Love v.Sternensee.
The first two pictures are the girl that is available, the last picture is
the complete litter. If you are interested in this gril, please contact her
breeder: w-wilke@t-online.de
